Policy
statement Local councils are a large provider of services and have a duty to provide best value. It is expected that the implementation of an electronically managed list of approved suppliers will save time and cut down on duplication, as it is known that e-procurement and online collaboration can shrink lead times and shave huge amounts off overhead by reducing admin costs. Through the use of www.e-approvedlists.org.uk not only will the council strive for the highest standards of performance and best practice, within the context of best value for money, but also look to alleviate disruption, delays and additional costs. The aim of the council is to attract other boroughs to the scheme as a way forward to addressing the issues contained in the National Procurement Strategy for Local Government (abbreviated version set out in milestones). The council
will always be keen to receive feedback on the e-approved list website,
application form and procedure. Please use the contact form to get in
touch. |
