This application form is for organisations expressing an interest in providing works and services to the local authority through an Approved List. This arrangement currently applies to the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, but may include other local authorities and public sector organisations joining the scheme. The scheme will be limited to a finite number of contractors and service providers. You may find on making your application that the category is closed through over-subscription. Previously closed categories may become available if an applicant fails in the approval process or is removed through providing poor standards of work and services. If you have been un-able to make an application through this website you should review availability on a regular basis in case a vacancy occurs.

As each of the categories of approved lists are size limited the participating Councils may decide to reject applications from businesses making applications for the same categories where the controlling interest(s) in those businesses is/are the same or where applications are made from companies sharing a common parent company.

The Approved List is made up of companies who have been assessed in relation to their Financial stability, Insurance policies, Health & Safety, Technical competence including membership of trade and professional associations e.g. Corgi, NICEIC and Equal Opportunities Policy etc. It is used for the purpose to provide departments with tender lists containing the names of individuals or organisations that have undergone pre-qualification vetting.

The councils have a duty to its council-tax payers to ensure the probity and transparency of its tendering arrangements and the Approved List plays a role in this process.

A company’s continued approval status is dependent on it supplying updated information i.e. insurance details, accounts, tax exemption etc., as and when it expires. Failure to provide any of the requested documentation may lead to your application being rejected or if admitted to the e-ApprovedLists On-line system involve your company being removed from the approved list.

It should be noted, that whilst it is the Council’s procedure to operate a rotational system when allocating contractors to a tender list, inclusion onto the Approved Lists is by no means a guarantee of work.

Each category of work will be limited to a specified number of contractors, as set by the Systems Administrators. Once a category has reached its maximum capacity of approved company's, it will close, and we will not accept any further applications for a 'closed' category. However, exceptions will be made for small local businesses operating within the local boundaries.

As part of our commitment to local residents we are proposing to maintain a separate ”local residents” list. Ideally, this work category is aimed at small local businesses (i.e. up to 15 employees, although larger business may be considered) that operate only within the borough boundaries of the participating councils.

You can save your application each stage of the process, returning to it at a later stage by using your LOG IN address and PASSWORD.
